The cookstoves project applies the VCS methodology: VMR0006 – Methodology for Installation of High-Efficiency Firewood Cookstoves. This methodology accounts for reductions in CO₂, methane, and nitrous oxide emissions resulting from decreased consumption of non-renewable biomass.
